The spots work for big air during the autumn/winter/spring seasons, and they work with north/nort-west cold winds..you can get easily get 30-50 knots (sometimes 60..). Southern winds are much lighter (15-20 knots) and warmer, and suitable for freestyle, and are more common during spring/summer/autumn. Wind-condition wise, this place is similar to Leucate, although it gets windy a bit less often. The main advantages are that it's less known, you have more space and it's warmer. In Trabucador you have a giant lagoon (7 km long!) so it's pretty flat water, Riumar gets slightly larger choppy waves (nothing compared to waves you can find in the ocean, though..this is the mediterranen sea!). Northern winds comes from inland, so they tend to be a little gusty (the spots are not offshore, though, as you have a lagoon in Trabucador and in Riumar is a side shore spot with these conditions. If you see a map of the spots it will be clearer). Delta del ebro is 2 hours away from Barcelona, and you need a car to get there. It's a natural protected area, so the nature is wonderful, but it's a very tranquil place, so except 0 night life.
